Acts 29 Mission Trip - Thursday, July 21
|
Wow, it was a very busy day today - lots of work was done at the house. Projects included adding a dock to the grand staircase, signs being made for the homeowner, installing a microwave, touching up the walls and baseboards. We also moved ALL of the tools and construction materials out of the house and the yard. Then we cleaned up the entire house without running water or electricity. We are happy to say that the house is ready for the dedication on Friday!!!
Marilyn and Sharon made a delicious dinner of lasagna and a dessert buffet (brownies, dump cake and fresh peaches and ice cream). As always, we are eating very well! After dinner, Pastor Lynn from Port Sulphur Baptist Church shared his story about Hurricane Katrina, the impact it had on Plaqueminnes Parish and how he saw God at work. It was a moving story. We presented prayer shawls to him and his wife, Nicole. We have had a great week. It has gone by quickly and we can't believe that tomorrow is our last day here. Thanks for all your prayers.
