Adult Confirmation

Adult Confirmation 2012

Adult Confirmation offers adults an opportunity to learn more about what it means to be a Lutheran and to make a public affirmation of faith. Check back for dates for the next session, typically beginning in February of each year.

Confirmation is an affirmation of baptismal promises. During adult confirmation classes led by Pastor Karen Geisendorfer-Lindgren, you will learn why Lutherans do what they do in worship. The class will review the meaning of the two sacraments: Holy Communion and Holy Baptism. The Small Catechism (including the Lord’s Prayer, the Apostles’ Creed and the Ten Commandments) will be studied. Discussions will include Martin Luther and the Reformation and most importantly about God’s amazing gift of grace.

Using a “hands-on” Bible study method of asking God to guide your reading and speak to you through His word, any and all questions are valid noting context and trying to understand the writer’s purpose and audience. Along with commentaries and others’ viewpoints, you will draw conclusions and apply these learnings to your own life.

Child care is available for the Sunday classes.
