Alpha

What is Alpha?

Anyone interested in finding out more about the Christian faith. Adults of all ages are welcome.

Learning and laughter. It is possible to learn about the Christian faith and to have fun at the same time.

People meeting together. An opportunity to get to know others and to make new friends.

Helping one another. The small groups give you a chance to discuss issues raised during the talks.

Ask anything. Alpha is a place where no question is seen as too simple or too hostile.


Who is Alpha for?
Alpha is for everyone; people interested in Christianity, new Christians, Christians who want to grow in their faith

What happens at Alpha?
There is a series of talks on topics like
  • Why and how should I read the Bible?
  • Why and how do I pray?
  • Who is the Holy Spirit?
  • Does God heal today?
After a large group presentation, there is time for small group study where everyone can discuss questions or issues. This is a great opportunity to get to know others and learn together.   

When and where is Alpha?
Please check back for dates for the next session, usually held in the fall of each year.
What's the schedule at Alpha?
5:30 PM    Supper  ($4 suggested donation)
6:00 PM    Welcome and worship
6:20 PM    Talk or lesson
7-8  PM     Small groups

What about children?
Childcare will be provided during Alpha, but please indicate you will be needing it on the registration form.

How do I sign up?
Online sign-up will be available for the next session. The Alpha study guide is available at church for a $5 suggested donation.
