If you could vacation anywhere…where would you go? I’ve always wanted to go backpacking through Europe for a summer, and then randomly hit up Japan or China at some point. I have traveled as far as Mexico and back, so any place that seems foreign is pretty much appealing to me.
What is your favorite TV show? I don’t tend to watch too much television, so hulu.com or Netflix is what I depend on. I am bad at keeping up with shows so I randomly watch episodes. I enjoy The Office, Modern Family, So You Think You Can Dance, Glee, Scrubs, and Sports Center, to name a few.
What is one of your greatest ambitions? One of my goals in life is to make it to as many playoff or championship games as I possibly can. Examples would be the Super Bowl, World Series, Stanley Cup, things like that.
What is something people don’t know about you? I don’t really care for the name Amanda. It’s too unoriginal and I like to be unique. A lot of people call me Clancy, and I feel that is a better suit for me.
How have you seen God working lately? I never imagined my role in life going in the direction it has taken me-working for children, youth and family ministry. Things have just recently fallen into my lap because of a perfect sequence of events, and if that’s not God working through me, then I don’t know what is.
What’s playing your iPod or CD player right now? Coming from the girl with the most random hodgepodge of songs on her iPod, the question should really be what’s NOT playing on your iPod right now. I’ve got everything from Bone Thugs to Beiber and everything in between. My iPod is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re ‘guna get. I’m always up for expanding my playlists, holler if you know of some good tunes.
What are you most excited about at Lord of Life? I am excited to work with upper elementary. 5th and 6th grade is such a fun and important age. I have so many amazing memories from growing up at my hometown church, Prince of Peace, and I cannot wait to mount positive memories for the next generation.
