What’s your favorite flavor ice cream? Anything with lots of chocolate/fudge and NO fruit! Moose Tracks is good. Or vanilla ice cream with LOADS of chocolate sauce on top. Or almost anything from Dairy Queen. Ice Cream=Elizabeth’s biggest weakness.

If you could vacation anywhere…where would you go? Definitely London. Or Fiji.

What is your favorite TV show? I’m not sure I can pick one. Watching TV is one of my favorite pastimes—it’s how I relax. Some of my very favorites, though, are Friends, The Office, Chuck, Parenthood, Brothers & Sisters, Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice, all the CSI shows, and a lot of terrible reality shows like Survivor, Biggest Loser, Big Brother, The Bachelor/ette and Top Chef. I can’t help it, I just love it!

What is one of your greatest ambitions? I’d like to write a book one day. Possibly a children’s book, possibly a book on theology. Either way, I will have accomplished one of my greatest goals in life.

What did you want to be when you grew up? I actually wanted to be an author. I remember in 3rd grade I used to write stories all on my own and then read them to my class. What a dork I was! :) Funny, though, that I still have that goal for myself.

What are you reading right now, or what is your favorite book? Right now I’m reading Belong To Me by Marisa de los Santos—it’s one of our book club books from years ago that I never got a chance to read. Now that I’m out of school and don’t have to read for class anymore, I can finally go back and catch up on all the ones I missed!

How have you seen God working lately? I recently got back from one of our summer AWOL mission trips, which was (along with all the mission trips I’ve been able to be a part of) one of the most significant experiences of God’s love and grace that I’ve had in my life. The way we willingly remove ourselves from the comfort of our every day lives to enter into and be fully present in another person’s world to support them, love them and serve them is, for me, the greatest embodiment of the Gospel and God’s redemptive presence in the world today. I can’t get enough of it!

What was your first job? I worked at the concessions stand at the local baseball park during the summer—good times!

When did you first come to LOL and why did you stay? I came to LOL in December of 2009 and I have stayed because I love my job, the people I work with and the youth I am so blessed to do ministry with. Being a part of the ministry at Lord of Life has been energizing, challenging and so fun for me. I know it will only get better from here!
