Much has been written about how we, as individuals and families, can protect the environment. Here's how Lord of Life church and its personnel are also preserving God's creation: • We give members the option of receiving the church's newsletters, including LifeTIMES, electronically, thus conserving valuable trees. Join those who have done so by going to the homepage and signing up at the bottom of the page. Or, call the church office at 763-420-5015. • Church staff reduces, reuses and recycles paper to eliminate waste. Next on the green list is using recycled paper for all uses. • Your church uses e-mail and its website for persons to submit information for our various publications. For LifeTIMES newsletter, e-mail bevm@lordoflife.org. For the bulletin insert, e-mail lorib@lordoflife.org. |

• All issues of LifeTIMES are proofed electronically rather than using paper. This also saves time, gas, mailing costs . . . and ozone.
• The majority of information about the church is included in LifeTIMES. This reduces irrelevant mail, plus saves printing and postage costs.
• Equipment is powered down when staff leaves the building. In addition, most offices use only half a bank of lights to conserve energy.
• Your church is in the process of researching low-polluting, eco-friendly inks for in-house and other printing. Low-polluting inks contain little volatile organic compounds that can cause cancer, birth defects and other diseases.
• Through web-conferencing and e-mail, travel to meetings has been reduced.
• Lord of Life recycles batteries, printer toners, computers and other materials to divert these products from landfills.
The Creation Care Team urges all Lord of Life members to reduce, reuse and recycle at home and at your workplace. Why not form a Green Team at your business?
