Volunteers lovingly package a formulated nutritional mix of rice, soy, vitamins and vegetables into a dehydrated "Minnesota hot-dish." There is a NEW and easy way to register! 		Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) and the “Adopt an Orphanage” program make a real difference in the lives of Jamaican children living in orphanages, who have been abandoned by parents who are unable to care for them, as well as providing one healthy meal to hundreds of children at Basic (preschools) and elementary schools. Often this is the only meal the children receive per day. Donations are accepted to help cover the cost of food for the FMSC/LOL Adopt An Orphanage program as well as to help cover the cost to ship food. Lord of Life has partnered with FMSC to provide food to our mission partners in Jamaica, and Uganda, and to Haiti after the 2010 earthquake. How can you become involved? - C3 leaders can sign up to pack food with your C3 group (and invite the parents too!). You can volunteer during Lord of Life's C3 scheduled times or visit the FMSC website to schedule your own time for your group: www.fmsc.org. - Give a donation to FMSC for the Adopt An Orphanage program, in lieu of altar flowers, and on special occasion dates. The Lord of Life office will accept your donation to honor your special loved one on his or her special day - birthdays, anniversaries, memorials, or any other special events. Your loved one will receive a FMSC certificate notifying them of your gift. Each donation of $35 will feed 182 children for one day at over 12 Jamaican orphanages and schools. Our goal is to feed every one of these children for an entire year. Sign up in the narthex or use the donation envelopes in the pews. - Visit FMSC's website to set up your own packing date with family members, business associates, or athletic teams. - Check out the Mission Jamaica page if you have an interest in traveling to Jamaica to deliver and feed FMSC food to the children. - Visit the Mission Uganda page to see how you can help this ministry as we ship food annually to our partners in Uganda. - Pray for continued success of this rewarding outreach project.
