Global Health Administration Partners (GHAP) is a ministry begun by Cindy Wilke of Lord of Life to enhance administrative capacity with partnering mission hospitals and health systems. GHAP began operations in 2008 with two pilot projects, testing the concept that teams of short-term experienced health administration volunteers could make a positive difference in developing nations. The program reinforces the Global Health Ministries mission of enhancing health care programs of Lutheran churches in developing countries. Cindy Wilke and Magdeline Aagard will be consulting in Tanzania in January 2012 and will focus on Ilula Lutheran Hospital in Ilula and visits in the Arusha area. Beginning January 26, Ron Omman, Cindy Wilke, Martha Gisselquist and Teklu Wadajo will consult with Aira Hospital in western Ethiopia. Please keep these GHAP consultants in your prayers and follow their progress on the GHAP facebook page. |
| To learn more about GHAP, please watch the video at left. One pilot of GHAP is being conducted in the country of Cameroon with the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Cameroon’s health system (OSEELC). Much has been accomplished in the partnership between OSEELC and GHAP. Read more about this mission and the progress being made in Cameroon. To Lord of Life: I would take this opportunity to say thanks to Pastor Peter Lindgren for their education contribution. As I expressed in my acknowledgement what you did for me was really saving my life from poverty. In other word you decided to take me by selecting only one from poor family in order to help others socially, spiritually and economically. You took money and send to me for education, the education I got in Mzumbe University could help me to save my family in terms of household and my relatives through financially and advice as well as Ilula's societies. To work hard and being accountable from my responsibility is my tradition since I was a young boy with the fact that after primary education I stayed 8 years working together with my mother as peasant, and serving to the church as youth group leader. So I would like such traditional to grow up when am working to the hospital. I could work hard and perform my duties based to the National and International guidelines for making sure that hospital is a place for peace and saving clients/ patients lives. Generally, am not yet applied my knowledge gained in Mzumbe University accordingly, however there were a time where I tried to apply and I thought that If I could have a chance that allow to do some changes for betterment of the hospital then people will enjoy a services with good quality. Also, important things we learnt was how to utilize resources efficiently and effectively, particularly financial resources and human resource/ manpower resources as a major resources for organization growth and prosper. So, today these resources are challenging so we need participatory decision making, that is my opinion and focus. Lastly, I would like to inform you that I qualified to graduate on December 11, 2009 by submitting a hard copy of my thesis to the Faculty yesterday. I invite you with the congregation to be together in graduation ceremony, even though the ceremony will end up to the college. I believe that through your prayer we may be together that will lead to great success. I am planning to travel on Wednesday with my family that is Kaanen, Mercy and Mentor in order to be the witness. Please pray for us. |
