The word "healing" can have mysterious or even controversial meaning for some people. However, we have a history and commitment at Lord of Life to provide a healing ministry in a positive and clear way. Our ministry is based on the great healer Jesus, who calls us to pray for healing and blesses the therapeutic benefits of healing prayer.
Healing prayer is for all people for any reason: addiction, general, chronic or terminal illnesses, heart break, prayer before surgery, anxiety, mental illness, stress - healing prayer is for whatever may be afflicting you. Healing from the Lord comes in many forms. It can be physical, emotional, spiritual, or psychological. Healing can also come as a feeling of love, peace and comfort.
Of course, we know prayers for healing do not prevent one from taking medicine or going to the doctor. We know Jesus can use our prayers, doctors and medicine to bring healing. Whatever the issue, all are encouraged to attend healing prayer services where God's love, anointing with oil and laying on of hands in prayer blesses those in need.
These are the opportunities for one to be blessed by God's healing prayer:
* By appointment, Tuesday and Wednesdays - a 40-minute individual conversation and prayer focus. Depending on one's comfort level there may be anointing with oil and laying on of hands as we pray based on Biblical principles.
* The third Saturday of every month at 6:30 pm, (following 5:30 worship) - a special monthly service with a brief mediation and healing message, anointing and prayer.
Grief Share Group—Have you lost a loved one? Are you or someone in your life facing an illness that is too difficult to face alone? Has a life changing event created a great deal of pain in your life? If you find it difficult to be optimistic about the future, you are invited to participate in Grief Share, a special support group for people grieving the loss of any kind.
