What’s your favorite flavor ice cream? Peppermint. It reminds me of my childhood. I can see my brother and I so excited seeing it in the grocery store and my mom saying we could get it because they only have it around Christmas time.
If you could vacation anywhere…where would you go? I always wanted to go to Australia--ever since I was a kid and read the book, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. Then, a couple of years ago, I saw a documentary on Australia and now have no desire to visit. Now I would pick Denali National Park in Alaska.
What did you want to be when you grew up? I have always wanted to be a mom and a teacher. My husband and I are blessed with three beautiful boys. I had the best second grade teacher. Before working at LOL, I ran a preschool in my home and prior to that, I taught at St. David's Child and Family Services. I love working with children and families!
What is something people don’t know about you? I met my husband Clark on a blind date and we were married six months later. We will be celebrating our 12th anniversary this summer!
What was your first job? I mowed the neighbor's lawn and helped my brother with his paper route until Subway came to town. I became a "sandwich artist".
When did you first come to LOL and why did you stay? A friend told me about Lord of Life four years ago. My family came to worship on Sunday and loved seeing the energy and smiling faces in the hall. The service made us laugh and cry. We picked up our child from church school and saw the biggest smile on our his face. We knew Lord of Life was a perfect fit!
What inspires you? Seeing people accomplish things they never thought were possible.
