Lord of Life has been making an amazing impact in Uganda, including assisting Hope 4 Kids with their work by helping to fund feeding programs, sponsor Vision Nursery School, Kenyan Refugee Relief and Widows Concerns. A letter from our Missionaries: In reviewing all the different service opportunities, in all the various countries that Hope 4 Kids International (H4KI) currently works within, it can be a bit overwhelming trying to decide which opportunity of service to pursue. Certainly the greatest adventure and food for the soul is to actually go to a country and experience living, working with the people of that country. Our mission experience in Uganda has left Laura and I with a hunger to get back there as soon as possible for another opportunity to serve. However, international travel is frequently not an option. There are many ways to serve even without traveling to Uganda. Please review the information on the H4KI website and see what particular area of giving interests you. |
We have chosen to sponsor the educational needs of children who we were introduced to through True Vine Ministry in Tororo and H4KI. However, you may be interested in contributing into one of many other funds. There are opportunities to provide health care, education and worship buildings, or water. Many of the people we met in Uganda are still without access to clean drinking water. Consequently, dysentery is the third leading cause of death in this area of Africa. H4KI can construct a well for only $10,150. A donation into the fund to provide a well not only benefits the people in that specific village; people from neighboring communities are welcome to the water also.
