| Are you an "OWL": Older Wiser Lutheran? This exciting ministry at Lord of Life is for anyone who is retired, single, has an empty nest, or just wants to meet other people! This fun group will meet new people in our church family, go interesting places, and serve others. Please view the calendar below for dates of upcoming events. Click on an event to see details. When we began to shape the foundations of the OWLs, we felt that we could not keep things moving forward unless we spread the responsibility for programs over a team of people. We began to pray for people to come forward and express an interest in committing to time, effort, and hands-on work. God answered our prayers with no less than a group of sixteen members to step up and be ready-to-work participants for the good of the OWLs ministry. We broke this group into Communication, Spiritual, Social, and Service. Most of the people you see pictured here have served continuously from the beginning; now going on four years of service to the OWLs. You probably know most them. When you see them in church please thank them for their tireless commitment to the growth and the strength of this senior’s movement towards meaningful fellowship and ministry. Without these people we would not have succeeded to establish, grow, and nurture the present ministry seeking God's will in our lives every day. |
