Thursday, March 15 Feel like it's springtime by enjoying an animal themed day. We'll begin at Sea Life MN at the Mall of America, which recently underwent a $5 million dollar renovation. Guides will take us on a behind the scenes tour and there will also be time to see the exhibits on your own. Then we'll go to the Rainforest Cafe and enjoy lunch on our own in the presence of tropical fauna! Cost for admission and transportation is $23. Leave Lord of Life at 9 am and return around 3 pm. |

Thursday, April 19 Come along to Gerten's Greenhouse and Nursery in Inver Grove Heights. Gerten's began as a small truck farm in the early 1900's with the motto: "Buy from the Grower". Many generations later it has grown to over 40,000 square feet of retail shopping space and you still buy from the grower. In 2011 Gerten's wa voted the best garden center by both the Twin Cities Pages and the Independent Garden Centers magazines. Our tour will take us from seedlings to finished plants. We'll have a shopping discount as well. Transportation costs will be $6. Lunch is on your own at Old World Pizza. Leave LOL at 8:30 am and return by 3:30 pm. |
