| Sharing and Caring Hands helps over 20,000 people each month with food, clothing, shelter, transportation, rent, shoes, eyeglasses, medical and dental, and numerous other needs. According to founder Mary Jo Copeland, Sharing and Caring Hands exists as a bridge from the caring and concerned community to the lonely, the poor, and the families and children in need. The people offer help, emotional support and God’s love to all who come to Sharing and Caring Hands and Mary’s Place Transitional Shelter. Lord of Life is proud to be a part of this wonderful group of volunteers. Members of our congregation are involved in many ways including preparing and serving breakfasts, spending time with children and providing donations of food, clothing and other items—all to help out where there is a need. |
On the second Saturday of each month, a group of Lord of Life volunteers prepare and serve breakfast to people in need. Breakfast is completely prepared for 400-500 people and includes pancakes, sausages, fresh fruit, pastries, milk and juice. It is amazing what this group can accomplish! We constantly hear thank you’s and praise from the staff at Sharing and Caring and from the families we serve. To volunteer, please contact Stacy Hainlin at sjhainlin@aol.com.
