 What's Happening...Sr. High! Summer 2010 AWOL letters have gone out and planning meetings are underway. Our next meeting is on Saturday, March 20th at 10am. THERE ARE STILL SPOTS AVAILABLE ON AWOL: MILWAUKEE AND THE BWCA TRIP! Check out the website to register. Peer Ministry Training We're offering Peer Ministry Training again for 10th-12th graders starting in March! Peer Ministry is a fun course that will prepare you to be a better leader, listener and friend. It is required for all youth who would like to lead C3, help with Summer Stretch or Summer Church School, teach preschool VBS or help with any Jr. High activity and it is recommended for any youth on the Sr. High Leadership Team. We'll meet for six weeks starting Wednesday, March 17th from 7:30-9:00pm. Sign up here! Teens Encounter Christ The next TEC weekend will be here at Lord of Life on April 16-18. TEC is a peer ministry aimed at helping youth spend a few days together with God. During this time, you will hear talks given by both clergy and other youth. You'll also encounter prayer, worship, singing, food, sharing, fun, fellowship and other fun activities! Check out the website for more information. CYF Volunteer Training Seminar We had a great time with Pastor Tim Coltvet at our Volunteer Training Seminar. Tim talked to us about bringing faith home--check out his talk here: www.lordoflife.org/cyfvolunteers World Hunger Appeal Lord of Life's ELCA World Hunger Appeal begins February 27/28 with the distribution of Hunger Banks. Pick up your bank at the Youth Book and place them on your dining tables and remember the hungry as you share your meals. Fill your banks with coins and return them to Lord of Life any time in April. |
