Jesus Christ said, “As you have done it for the least of these, you have done it to me.” The generosity of Lord of Life members has given a life-changing opportunity to more than four dozen students in Tanzania, without which there would be very little hope of breaking the chains of poverty.

The awesome opportunity for 56 Tanzanian students to attend a Lutheran-based secondary school (all of whom live in the villages of Watolisoli, Ifuwa and Udekwa) where Lord of Life works in partnership has been sponsored by Lord of Life GodParents and a few others from the annual Auction and Craft/Bake Sale.

The following personal story is from one of our Tanzanian students. His letter was delivered to his Lord of Life sponsor by Team Tanzania:

I am very delighted for your help. If I turn back to my friends whom we were together a number of years ago and they missed education because of lack of school fees. They are in bad life situation, they have married most of them, they have a number of children, they are no longer optimistic because of difficulties in their life. Although we experienced the same problem before, but for these approximately seven years we are in quite different situation of our life, I do ask my self, why not me in the same problem, "God knows"

I please you to do not get tired of me so that you may go on sponsoring me further more in my university studies which I am expecting to join next year where I am expecting to study either Bachelor of commerce or Bachelor of Business Administration. In this form six I am taking EGm that means Economics, Geogragh and Mathematics."

Simon has been able to attend school to the highest form because of sponsorship. Most of our students are in forms I - III.

He ends his letter with, "I would like to say Best Wishes for your daily activities you all and members of Lord of Life. God be with you. Psalm 35.7 (The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear him and delivers them). I would like to share with you the word from 1 Thessalonians 5:18. "In every thing Give Thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." May God bless you and people of Lord of Life."
