You and your family can do something about world hunger.

Each year during Lent, ELCA World Hunger banks are distributed to Church School children and are available to the rest of the congregation. Place these banks on your dining table, your desk in the office, or on the kitchen counter. At each meal you are asked to add coins to the bank and remember those who are hungry.

Hunger banks are available at the Lenten display in the main hall and on a table in the narthex. They may be returned to your Church School class, the CYF Youth Booth, the CYF office or the main Lord of Life office from April 15 - May 15.

  •  923 million people in the world are hungry
  • 12.6 million kids in the US are hungry or at risk of becoming hungry
  • 1 in 6 people of the world lack safe drinking water

ELCA World Hunger gifts provide food, clean water, seeds, tools, trees, animals, education, life and hope for people around the corner and around the world.
Come Lord Jesus, be our Guest
and let these gifts to us be blessed.
Blessed be God who is our Bread.
May all the world be clothed and fed.
